Write a 700- to 1,400-word paper in which you answer the following questions:
What interested you about this case?
What are the sources, purposes, and jurisdictions of the criminal law related to this case?
What is accomplice liability and criminal liability? How does it relate to the case?
What is the difference between the various elements of crime, including actus reus, mens rea, and concurrence? How do they relate to the case?
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines. Remember, this means not using the first person pronoun even though you are being asked what interested you about this case (“This case was interesting because…”)

1. The case you pick must deal with criminal law. If you want, you can run a case by me to see if it appropriate. Avoid cases dealing with criminal procedure such as search and seizure or Miranda (right against self-incrimination). Please avoid cases dealing with the First Amendment or the Eighth Amendment.
2. It must have been decided by the US Supreme Court.
3. You must give the proper citation for the case. A citation is the name of the case and where it can be found. For example, Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966). The name of the case is Miranda v. Arizona. It can be found in the 384th volume of the United States Supreme Court reporter on page 436. The case was decided in 1966.
