Explain the incident in your own words and use a quotation from the text to help explain Jacobss perspective.

ASSIGNMENT: By now you should know what to do to write a personal response. Choose one incident that you think will help you to write about Jacobss female experience as a slave girl (as opposed to Douglasss male experience). Remember, your choice should be an important event in the book! In your introduction, use author and title. Explain the incident in your own words, and use a quotation from the text to help explain Jacobss perspective. And dont forget: your job is to ANALYZE what this incident means and why its important 1. to Jacobs in her account of her slavery and 2. to you as her reader. Write a conclusion that will explain what youve learned. And if you have any questions, please email me.
